ABB is proud to support women in industry

ABB is proud to be recognising and highlighting the efforts of exceptional women in industry by again sponsoring the annual Women in Industry Awards in 2017.

The fourth annual Women in Industry Awards raise the profile and acknowledge excellence in achievement of women working in the mining, engineering, manufacturing and road transport industries.

ABB Australia is pleased to be supporting the Women in Industry Awards again this year by sponsoring the Business Development Manager of the Year accolade.

In our pursuit of workplace and industry diversity, raising the awareness of our successful female role models is an initiative that ABB is committed to following. It is well known that companies which hire, retain and support the career development of women are not only working towards gender diversity, but can also gain a competitive edge in an age of talent shortages and the emerging digital-industrial marketplace.

Every day, our employees strive to deliver intelligent solutions to solve some of the biggest challenges facing our customers in the utilities, manufacturing, transport and infrastructure sectors, across the world. These awards provide the opportunity to highlight these innovations and our people behind them.

This is the third time that ABB is sponsoring the awards program. We were extremely proud to have six exceptional ABB employees announced as finalists in the 2016 awards: Somayeh Heidari, Rebecca Roberts, Nirupa Chander, Vivian Nee, Caroline Phillips, and Kayla Saggers.
