Today it covers three main fields: production (wind generators, low-voltage drives and swichgears, compact substations); sales (transmission network and distribution substation projects, medium and low-voltage products, automatics projects and robots); and maintenance services for industrial clients.

Over seventeen years, ABB's operations have grown in proportion with the country’s overall economic development, and the company has gained a secure position in the Estonian industrial and economic world.

In 1992 ABB employed a workforce of 10; as of the beginning of 2010, over 860 people were working for the company. In that same period, ABB’s turnover in Estonia grew from 500 thousand to over 1,9 billion kroons annually. ABB has invested more than a billion kroons in Estonia during its 17 years of operations in the country.

In 2009, for the third year in a row, ABB AS has been awarded the title of Foreign Investor of the Year. In 2008 ABB also received the Entrepreneurship Award itself, which distinguishes Estonia’s best company.

Starting in 1998, ABB has been using an integrated control system that conforms to the requirements of the ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004, OHSAS 18001:2007. The system ensures control over important environmental factors and constant improvement of the company’s operations.
