"I completed my corporate rotation with the marketing and communications team at ABB Australia’s head office in Sydney. My responsibilities included producing marketing brochures and assisting with event coordination. It was a great opportunity to gain insight into how the company is managed and how ABB communicates with both its employees and with industries, and I was able to apply skills I learned at university and in previous rotations to a non-engineering field."
- Laura de Leon

"On my Power Products Division rotation I was fortunate enough to get assigned to an R&D project aimed at developing a Recycling Plant to reduce emissions produced by Industry. My work involved developing the HMI (Human Machine Interface) and PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) code to allow operators to control the plant. This rotation was particularly challenging due to its highly technical nature and the fact that it had never been done before. On completion of the rotation it was very rewarding seeing not only all our hard work producing positive outcomes but also the knowledge that we were taking such a positive step towards reducing the environmental impact created by Industry."
- Joshua Farnsworth

“" Working for 4 months in an overseas rotation was definitely an exceptional experience that distinguished ABB's graduate program from others. I worked for 4 months in the ABB Malaysia Low Voltage Switchgear factory. Aside from seeing a completely different work methods and work culture it was also exciting to explore Malaysia on the weekends in my spare time. Completing part of my graduate program training in a foreign country is something I will never forget.”
- Richard Emery

Past members of the program

"Looking back over my experiences from the 2-year graduate program, it's hard to imagine anywhere else where I could have gained such a vast amount of opportunities in such a short space of time. With ABB being a global company, the opportunities continue to arise even now I have completed the program, having just returned from 7 weeks in Germany with many more experiences to look forward to in the future."
- Ireen Taufika

" For my overseas rotation, I was fortunate enough to spend a few months living amongst the neon lights of downtown Tokyo and working with the power products team of ABB Japan. As a member of the proposal team, I was involved in the preparation of tenders, and liaised closely with the front end sales team to put forth proposals for large medium voltage projects. My team of Japanese hosts were fantastic in showing me aorund and teaching me about the intricacies of Japanese culture and traditions."
- Vivian Nee

"For my third rotation I worked with a range of High Voltage products, which included roles in sales, contract management, budgeting and finance through to project work for retrofitting a Generator Circuit Breaker in a power station near the Blue Mountains. This wide range of work allowed me to develop many skills that wouldn't be possible in some other graduate programs. The program is well organised and is strongly supported by all of ABB's divisions "
-Marcus Haines
